About Rich Hrivnak

Rich Hrivnak has spent his entire life as resident of Plum Borough. He grew up in the Renton section of Plum and also lived in the Logan's Ferry section before moving to his current residence in the Holiday Park area. Rich graduated from Plum Senior High school in 1983 and went on to obtain his bachelor's degree in Political Science from Clarion University. He graduated with honors from Clarion in 1987. For most of his adult life, Rich has worked in the Human Resources field. In 2006, Rich was named Westmoreland Human Resources Professional of the Year for many achievements in the HR field.  He is currently employed by Allegheny County as Deputy Director of Human Resources. 

Rich has a long record of service to the Plum community. He has served on both the Plum Civil Service Commission and the Plum Zoning-Hearing Board. In the mid 1990's Rich also served as a Borough Councilman and initiated the policy of televising all council meetings. Rich is the son of Dick and Betty (Opina) Hrivnak and is married to another Plum High graduate, Charlene (Wisniewski). Charlene and Rich are the proud parents of a son, Richie who will attend first grade at Holiday Park Elementary School in the Fall. Rich has been endorsed for Plum Mayor by the Plum Borough Democratic Committee, State Senator Sean Logan and State Representatives Joe Markosek and Tony DeLuca.
